The mission of the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) Educational Restaurant is to encourage Macao’s future hoteliers to put theories into practice and trains them to provide quality service to real guests. The Educational Restaurant is one training unit for UTM’s students, especially those specialised in Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Event Management, and Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts Management. The Educational Restaurant is one of the best venues on campus for students’ practice. It offers a unique selection of traditional Macanese, Portuguese and Western dishes with a modern flair that cannot be found elsewhere.
Since 2016 we are under ISO (International Organization for Standardization) programme; the current 2020 environmental objectives that the Educational Restaurant is applying through the ISO14001 are not limited to food production (cooking) only, but the entire supply chain within the UTM. • Reduce CO2 emission caused by electricity consumption • Reduce water consumption • Reduce food scraps • Raise general waste to recyclable waste ratio • Raise sustainability awareness.
