IFT and Incheon National University in the Republic of Korea signed in July an agreement on cooperation and exchanges between the 2 institutions of higher education.

The partnership will concentrate on exchanges of students and academic staff. It also intends to promote other forms of cooperation, including joint research projects and joint organisation of conferences, and of academic and cultural programmes.

Incheon National University is in Songdo, 65 kilometres southwest of Seoul. The university was established in 1979. It is divided into 12 colleges and has more than 60 academic departments or their equivalents. It achieved national university status in 2013.

IFT has more than 100 partners in education or other fields in about 30 countries and regions. The Institute also has partnerships with a range of leading companies in the tourism and hospitality industries at home and abroad, and gives students studying for bachelor’s degrees opportunities to do internships in approximately 500 organisations.
