IFTM recently announced its latest initiative, the “4+1 Progression Pathway” programme, a collaboration with the Swiss Education Group. The innovation offers Institute graduates the opportunity to seek direct entry to master’s degree programmes provided by three renowned institutions under the Swiss Education Group: the Swiss Hotel Management School, César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, and the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.

To familiarise students with the elements of the “4+1 Progression Pathway” programme, IFTM recently organised a briefing session at its Taipa Campus.

Participating in the briefing session was Jerry Zhang from the Chinese Mainland, a master’s degree student at the Swiss Hotel Management School.

During the briefing, Jerry discussed his experience as a Chinese person living and studying in Switzerland. He emphasised the safe and friendly environment of the European country, highlighting it makes easy communication and interaction between people from outside that nation and locals.

Jerry underscored some advantages of pursuing postgraduate studies at a higher education establishment affiliated with the Swiss Education Group. They included diversity within the educational environment, a blend of theoretical and practical courses, and access to internships and other avenues for employment success and career development, he said.

IFTM students were actively engaged in the briefing session, expressing keen interest in the “4+1 Progression Pathway” programme. They raised queries about scholarship availability, student visa application procedures, internship opportunities, and more. Swiss Education Group representatives addressed these questions comprehensively and offered Swiss-themed souvenirs to the attending students.
