Using local and international examples, it explores the underlying principles of cultural and heritage management and discusses how the principles are applied in practice to address various key issues including the management of World Heritage sites and heritage tourism. The opportunities offered by cultural and heritage resources and their contributions to social and economic development are presented as well.
