This programme aims to develop students’ knowledge and skills of communication in tourism and hospitality situations using the medium of English. Emphasis is placed on the understanding the industry and the use of English as a medium of communication and interaction in the workplace. Course content is based on the conventions and formats of professional communication needed in tourism and hospitality related contexts. Students will be required to apply knowledge and skills through tasks and assignments designed to simulate realistic situations which call for appropriate responses. Students will be expected to demonstrate a satisfactory level of both oral and written fluency in English.
