The aim of this course is to develop a hands-on understanding of the management of hotel operations from its origins to today and from planning to operational stage both theoretically as well as practically. Various areas in terms of operational characteristics as well as organizational structure will be studied as follows: operations (Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage), sales and marketing, finance, human resources, general management, engineering and information technology.

 

The main focus on the course will be that of the management of hotel operations from the perspective of the General Manager. The emphasis is on a hands-on approach by using the HOTS Simulation Software program.
