This course starts with a brief study of some general, but essential, legal concepts and with an outline of the Macao legal system.

Its main scope, however, is the study of the legal environment of the tourism and hospitality industries in Macao, including the regulation of hotel and travel agency activities, the administrative licensing of other businesses related to these industries and regulations concerning fire safety and public health.

The aim of the course is, through essentially practical lessons, to train students to read, interpret and use the law, making them aware of the rights and duties of all parties in the tourism and hospitality industries and capable of dealing with the various legal issues that may arise in this field.
