In Mandarin IV, the course provides more Mandarin initials , finals and tones training, especially the use of light tone and retroflex finals words. Teaching long sentences in texts, combined with the communication needs of students in professional courses, improves proficiency in students' ability to express complex sentences. After completing the four Putonghua subjects, students should be well prepared to take the Putonghua Proficiency Test and reach Level 2 B.
