This course explores the nature and purpose of leadership from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Topics include leaders and managers, transformational leadership, leadership qualities and challenges, ethical leadership, leaders of tomorrow, and other contemporary issues about the topic. Current issues and trends are examined from historical, cultural, political, and ethical perspectives. Strategies for developing effective leadership are integrated throughout the course. This course is also a blend of theories, self-assessment and skill development.
