This course covers the theory, principles and appliction of economic analysis in all forms of creative arts, creative industry, cultural goods and heritage. It includes an understanding of the sources of value inherent in cultural and heritage resources and a typology of relevant economic terms.  The course also provides students with practical tools for valuing cultural and heritage resources including heritage sites, art galleries and museums, visual and performing arts and cultural festivals.  Through this course, students' appreciation of the economic contribution of the arts and cultural sector will be enhanced as will their ability to conceptualise the economic and social values of the cultural and heritage sector.
