Tourism is widely regarded as one of the fastest growing industries today, both in Macao and around the world. The course examines major world tourism destinations, providing a comprehensive knowledge of the major characteristics of the destinations. All the destinations have a brief overview of main cities, physical features, religions, tourist attractions, culture and their significance for tourism.
With completion of this course, students should be able to obtain their own perception of each tourism destination region in terms of its geographic and tourism characteristics. Specifically, the students will develop an understanding of the characteristics of major regions of the world and be able to match visitors to destinations that is a key to travel industry success.
