- The student will gain a broad understanding of travel agency and airline operations and will be familiar with related subject matters such as industry regulations, industry terms and codes, and world geography. Additionally, the student will learn about the broad infrastructure of the air transport industry including subjects such as aircraft types, passenger handling, baggage and security matters.
The student will also gain the practical knowledge needed to perform routine duties related to the sale of international air travel and will thus be able to :
- give correct and appropriate advice to clients
- accurately action all necessary travel arrangements and reservations
- calculate one way, round trip, circle trip and mixed class air fares for full fare and discounted fare passengers
