Dr Ubaldino Couto, Assistant Professor and Academic Coordinator for the Tourism Event Management programmes at School of Hospitality Management, delivered a keynote presentation titled Development of Macao's events industry in the post-pandemic era during the 6th Symposium on Events organised by the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat Sen University.
First event to be held after the pandemic, the symposium brings together academics and researchers from all over China, including Macao and Hong Kong, to discuss innovative and contemporary issues in the events industry. The event consisted of keynote presentations, panel discussions and round table discussions attended by top academics. The 3-day event also showcases the latest research work by postgraduate students, post-docs and other researchers in events, exchanging ideas and networking with each other to explore collaboration opportunities.
