UTM and the University of Surrey offer1+1 Dual Master's Degree Programme 

 

UTM signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Surrey (UOS), a prestigious university in the United Kingdom, in offering a  "1+1" dual master's degree programme. Through the joint programme, eligible students from UTM are given the opportunity to transfer credits and complete a UOS Master's degree, while simultaneously completing an UTM master's degree, in as short as two years. 

 

Students under this dual programme will enjoy cutting edge academic and teaching excellence in tourism, hotel, and event management provided by two leading institutions in Macao (China) and in Surrey (United Kingdom), both joining forces with an aim to foster global management talents in this exciting tourism industry. 

 

"1+1" is available for UTM master's students enrolled in the following programmes:

To be eligible for applying for the dual master's degree programme, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

Tuition Fee:

UTM

  1. The tuition fee charged by UTM is available on https://www.utm.edu.mo/admission/en/postgraduate_programmes/fees/index.html 
  2. Students are required to settle the above full programme tuition fee before they go to the UK.
  3. The tuition fee paid will not be refunded.          

UOS

  1. The tuition fees for the programmes are set each year and available on https://www.surrey.ac.uk/fees-and-funding/tuition-fees.
  2. Subject to the conditions set out in the Pathways of Study being met, a scholarship in the form of a fee reduction of £6,000 will be applied to students accepted onto the specified programme(s) at the UOS.
  3. All students in the dual Master's programme are eligible to apply for another International Excellence Award—a scholarship as a £5,000 fee waiver: International Excellence Award (Postgraduate September 2024) | University of Surrey
